Sally” is an action of rushing or bursting forth or a brief outbreak -Merriam Webster

Our story

“A Sally” was really the only way I could honestly describe my gardening commitment. Love doing it, great visions for how to turn my yards into cozy meeting places where people want to sit, relax and talk.

However, like everyone, life gets in the way between jobs, kids, and trying to enjoy life, I have to be intentional with my gardening time and budget. Sometimes I let things grow because I am not sure what I want to do with the section yet, I want to see what happens, or my loving and cute gardening assistants only have the attention span of 15 minutes.

What started as a fun blog has evolved as plants and outdoor spaces were recognized for the physical and mental benefits to our health and well-being.

EVERYONE, NO MATTER THEIR LOCATION OR ECONOMIC STATUS DESERVES DAILY EXPOSURE TO NATURE.

Sally In A Garden is a community of individuals who believe in this and want to improve how we use our spaces for enjoyment and health.

Kate Cantwell, our founder and lead consultant, in an expert in strategic planning and project management. She earned her master's degree in public Affairs from Brown University and bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State University. She will soon be credentialed as a member of the Royal Horticultural Society Level 2 Certification.

“From start to finish, working with Sally In A Garden was stress free and stopped me from overspending on plants which were not the right fit for my space.”
